    Day as night?
    That puzzle me.
Sorry for my ignorance, but isn't it in Sweden where the day light can either last too long or not at all, depending on the time of the year?

  3. Day as night is a term used in the film industry, ehen you fiolm during the daytime but make it look like it's night.
The night is very long in Sweden this time of year, but you have to go further north to have night all day.
    Thanks Emmanuelle

The days are too short as it is - and it's always obvious that filming has taken place in the day isn't it?! Is that a cannon or a telescope? Hope you are not wishing for a cannon, what would you do with it?
Love the horse drawn submarine and the lady with the shopping trolley!

  11. I wish people would save the now ubiquitous 'whimsy' for work like yours. Wonderful in every way.

May I ask (well, here I go): Do you actually illustrate straight to paper? I mean, you don't sketch with a little pencil first? I mean, for your illustrations, with all those details and all that perspective.

I wait patiently for your reply. (Really, I'd love for you to say ...)

  12. Thanks Booda baby, no I like to draw directly with ink, I find that pencil destroys part of the spontaneity of my line. Even though sometime I wish I had used pencil as it would make planning of my drawings more easy, now they tend to evolve rather arbitrary.

I wonder the same the about early illustrations. (I think about other things, too, but this one's a recurring puzzler.) Thanks!
